Focus is extremely important, I’m sure we all agree on that. I have put a quick list of tips to help you quickly regain your focus in ant situation. The reason is that it is becoming more and more clear to me that at times when my focus is sharp, my results are much closer to what I want than when it is all over the place!
But knowing that is one thing. Controling your focus is another thing all together.
We often use the excuse “not enough time” to explain why we don’t spend more time planning, focusing and getting clear on what we want. However I’m going to suggest here, that even when we do have the time we don’t always do this. Why is that? Lack of energy? Lack of belief? Maybe a lack of appreciating the importance of such actions?
I don’t know what the right answer is, probably some sort of a mix. I just know that there is no escaping the fact that getting clear on what you want and focusing on it – is the quickest and easiest way to achieve it!
So, without further adue, here are my 3 tips to help you regain focus even during the most chaotic times.
1. Find at least a few minutes a day to just spend some quiet time with yourself.
NO MATTER WHAT! It doesn’t matter how you spend those minutes (taking a walk/jog, lying down, meditating, whatever…) as long as you let the outside noises subside, and give room for your inner voice to be heard. This is so beneficial in regaining focus, you will feel the change immediately!
2. Thought Shifting
Whenever during the day you find yourself losing your focus - STOP!
Deliberately decide to shift your thoughts (and subsequently your emotions) from what is disturbing you, to what it is you would like to experience right now. For example if you just had an argument with your spouse or child, and you are really mad at them! It is easy to dwell on the feeling of how irritating they can be and so on. But it doesn’t really get you any where! Rather try to imagine how you would like to feel. Picture this person smiling at you lovingly, remind yourself how much you actually love and appreciate them! I know this can be difficult when you are mad, but the more you manage to focus on what you want, and try to feel it, the closer it is coming to you.
This kind of deliberate thougt shifting helps you stay in control of your emotions, and therefore gain more focus.
3. Lastly – Segmant Planning.
Before you begin any task, set aside even a few seconds to think of how you would like to see this task complete. For example before leaving home to fetch your kid from a friend, instead of worrying about how much traffic there will be, set forth an intention that the roads are open and green lights great you along the way. Obviously your belief and level of connection will determine how accurate you intentions will play out. It is always good to point out to your subconscious how you would want this next segment of your day to unfold, so you have it on board and ready to help create the desired outcome. When you set forth clear intentions, you automatically regain your focus.

I am so happy I came across this website! I have so many of this guys recordings because he covers so many subjects (he has over 3000 downloads and cd’s on his site!).
On this site you can find a great variety of recordings. I assume the reason is that different people are attracted to different types of recordings. There are Gold recordings of 30 minutes long, Platinum recordings which are 1 hour long. They have daytime affirmations where you get all the suggestions used in the other self-hypnosis recordings but without the relaxing suggestions, where all the words are clearly audible. This is good to use while driving or when you can’t afford to be sleepy but do want to make maximum use of your time. I like using these while I exercise or fold the laundry .
Another one of my favourites are the subliminal recordings. On these recordings you have music covering the words so your conscious mind cannot interfere with the process and the words go directly to your subconscious mind where they are most effective. I like to use these before going to sleep. They are very nice to fall asleep with .

In Uncovering your limiting beliefs and mental and emotional blocks – part 1 I discussed the importance of this step and outlined one method to begin finding out what are some of the beliefs you have which are holding you back.
I will now teach you another method. This one is called the “Mirror Tells All” method.
It simply states that your life, as it is right now is an exact mirror of your inner beliefs about every aspect of your life.
And so, to find out what these beliefs are all you need to do is, for each of the life areas outlined in the Goal Setting section, write down the AS IS.
In other words describe on detail how your life is in that area right now: How you feel about it, how successful are you in that area, how close are you to where you would like to be?
By putting this down on paper you will in fact be creating the list of beliefs of how you subconsciously believe your life can be, What you deserve and how well you can or can’t do in each life area.
I know that this is often not an easy step. You may look at a certain aspect of your life and say there are certain objective circumstances which are influencing your current situation.
Let me assure you, that as good or bad as things are, there are absolutely NO circumstances that can occur in your life if you don’t have some sort of belief that holds them true.
Nothing can exist in your life if your vibration doesn’t resonate with it. What does that mean exactly? That if you are, for example, in a situation where you feel a victim to some wrong doing by someone else, and you may feel you have no control over the situation. However there must be at some level, a thought or belief which supports a state of ‘victim mentality’. If that were not the case, that situation could not be present in your life.
So take the time to write out the AS-IS of your life, and then look at it. What you have written down is going to be your starting point in the process of personal growth in your life.
When you feel you have completed this step and are ready to move forward:
Take the plunge into Clearing your limiting beliefs.
Uncovering your limiting beliefs and mental and emotional blocks will involve some conscious effort on your part. The way you choose to do this is entirely up to you. I have outlined here a technique which I have used and found very effective.
First of all state the intention to become aware of these ‘road blocks’. By telling your subconscious mind that you are willing to start examining what’s going on inside your mind, you are giving it a signal to start bringing these things to your attention.
The first method is to create a list.
Take a clear piece of paper (or empty word document). For each of the items on the list below begin to write as many things as come up:
- I am:
- I should:
- People are:
- Men are:
- Women are:
- Kids are/should:
- Parents are/should:
- I always:
- I never:
- Others see me as:
- My parents think I am:
- I am bad at:
- I can’t:
- I will never:
- Life is:
- The world is:
- I am afraid of/to:
- Abundance is:
- Money is:
- Time is:
- Scarcity is:
- Opportunities are:
- If …then…: (for example: IF I work hard then I’ll be successful).
Do not think too much about what you are writing, and definitely do not judge yourself in the process. Write down as many as you can. You may not think you have so many for each subject, but give it some time (even over a few days) and you will be amazed at how many of these “truths” you carry around with you.
Notice during the days ahead every time you start a sentence with one of those statements and write it down. If you find yourself making statements which do not appear on the list feel free to add those to your list.
By the end of the week you should have a notebook full of sentences.

If you feel you have completed this step, you are now ready to move on to the next step:
A vision board can be a physical or virtual (digital) board which you fill with pleasing images and affirmations. These images and affirmations represent your dreams and desires. The idea of a vision board is to keep you focusing on what it is you DO want (instead of what you don’t want). By means of the law of attraction these things will begin to attract into your experience.
To Create a Vision Board on Your Computer
If you spend many hours on your computer and would prefer to have your vision board right there with you, you may choose to create an electronic Vision Board. You can create a simple one by “copy and pasting” images on to a word document or power point presentation.

To Create a physical Vision Board
What You will Need
- cork board/ magnet board/ large piece of cardboard or paper
- pictures – cut out from magazines, or printed from your computer.
- glue or coins to put the pictures up.
- a fun and positive mood!
Let the Fun Begin! The Steps:
- Decide if you want to create a vision board for a specific area of your life, or a general one.
- Find pictures that represent your goal manifesting. This can be magazine cut outs, internet images printed out or photographs.
- Make a list of positive affirmations which correspond with your chosen goals.
- Add these affirmations to your pictures, by writing them or printing from your computer.
- Now arrange your pictures and affirmations on your boards. Have fun with this step. Make the board look as attractive to you as possible.
- Place your new Vision Board in a place you will see it often.
- Make a habit of looking at your Vision Board as often as you can. When focusing on the images and affirmations, try to emerge yourself in thefeeling of appreciation for already having them. If that is too unbelievable for you at this point, focus on the thought that it is on it’s way to you,and feel happy just knowing that.
Tips for Vision Board Success
- You may change the vision board as often as you like, replacing the things which have manifested with new desires.
- Make sure there are no unwanted items on your board, because you will be seeing those too, and by Law of Attraction, they too will be drawn closer to you.
- If you choose to place a picture of yourself, make sure it is one in which you were happy and healthy.
