Is it too late to achieve your goals and dreams?
Posted by: | CommentsWhat was the answer that came to mind when you read the question in the title?
I hope you said “No!”. But if you said “yes” – then I’m very glad you are here and reading this.
Please, for the next few minutes, open your mind, and allow me the benefit of the doubt while I present you with a different point of view.
You see, my answer to that is: “Hell, No!”
I could give you countless stories of people way older than you, who decided one day that they were going to make a change in their life and achieve a certain goal (note to self: bring some of those stories to the blog!).
You are never too old to look into your heart and find out what desires you have been hiding there. That inner voice that has been trying to catch your attention for ever so long will be delighted when you finally listen to it.
You may argue that at the age of 70 you cannot become an Olympic gold medalist tennis player. That may be so, but if you’ve loved tennis your whole life and were always too busy to take lessons, maybe now would be a good time to start? Perhaps a gold medal isn’t in the cards for you, but how great would it feel to start a new hobby that you will enjoy? Something that is only yours, not done to please your husband or your kids. Done to please YOU. Because you deserve it!
The change could really be anything. I’m not telling you to walk into your boss’s office tomorrow morning and quit your job of 30 years (well at least not with out a back up plan
). What I’m suggesting is that you open yourself up to the possibility that maybe (just MAYBE) it’s not too late. Because once you change your belief about something, circumstances begin to shift too. Ask yourself what were to happen if you pursued your dream? There must be something that is putting you off, or you would have done it ages ago, right? The way I see it, we always have a choice. Your choices may have consequences, however you are never in a situation where you have no choice. So what is the worst thing that would happen if you did what you are dreaming of? Maybe this consequence is not something you are willing to risk right now. But you should still be aware of the fact that you are making a choice, based on your view of reality. Once you realise this, you start to move away from the “victim mentality” holding so many of us in place. Blaming circumstances is the surest way to remain exactly where you are. Which is exactly where most people feel most comfortable. That is why so few people ever attempt to change the things in their lives which they are unhappy about.
At the age of 30 I was married with 2 young kids. lived in a place I did not like and held a job I totally disliked. I felt as though “this is it”. I honestly felt old and boring, and couldn’t believe that was going to be my life for the next who knows how many decades! Don’t get me wrong; my husband and kids brought me tremendous joy, but I still felt very uninspired and rather depressed at the thought that this was the peak of my life, and that it is all going down hill from here. You see I couldn’t find a job that satisfied me, and the feeling of emptiness started getting to much to ignore. That feeling I later learned to identify as a disconnection to myself.
Certain events that happened caused me to realize the lie I was living and opened my eyes. I then began my journey of self discovery which would ultimately lead to a much happier and more meaningful life.
Looking back I see where the change began: with the realization that things could change, if I change my outlook on life. Once I started examining the limiting beliefs that were holding me back, I realized that all of my limitations were self-imposed. This made me feel so empowered! I began see the future in a much brighter light and believe that anything is possible! And you know what? Once I started believing that, the world started presenting me with proof of that new belief (as it always does).
I now have a much more meaningful life. My family moved to a wonderful new home in a young beautiful neighbourhood. I left the old job, and now do what I love which is empower people to dare live their greatest life!
I honestly believe that it is never too late to realize you are in control of your life, and have the power to change it and achieve your goals!
Please consider one thing: if you don’t take the chance on yourself today, when will you do it? Next year? Five years from now? When the kids grow up? What will be different then? Will it be any less scary then? I don’t think so. I think new excuses will always come up. Until you make that decision to wake up your hidden potential at a true joyous and meaningful life. Only by taking responsibility for your life as it is today, can you begin to change it.
Is life really worth living without passion? Was life supposed to be a punishment or a gift?
I think it is a wonderful gift, which is yours to enjoy! So what are you going to do with it? What example are you going to set for your kids?
I’d love to hear where this post meets you in your life. Please feel free to share your own experience by leaving a comment below.

The “Quantum Mind Power” with “The Morry Method”
Posted by: | CommentsAn easy way to cut the learning curve, immediately and effortlessly reaching deep levels of meditation is by using digital meditation.
What is it?
It is also known as brainwave entrainment, and it is the latest technique taking the personal growth market by storm! The reason it is so popular is because it plain out works!
As someone who has been meditating for years I can tell you that the feelings achieved by listening to even just a few minutes of these recordings easily equal if not exceed the feelings reached during a naturally induced meditation. I know how difficult it can be at times to get into the right mood, and quiet your mind enough to benefit from a good deep meditation. With these recordings you don’t need to do that! They sound like plain noise (seriously, like a helicopter or something) but they induce the wanted brain states easily. You can even fall asleep and still benefit from it!
This is what I love about modern times: science meets spirit and we enjoy the results!
If you’ve always wanted to meditate but never knew how, or if you’re an experienced meditator who would like to experiment with something new I recommend you give these recordings a shot. Their benefit is no less than life-changing!

Self-Hypnosis Recordings by Steve G. Jones
Posted by: | CommentsI am so happy I came across this website! I have so many of this guys recordings because he covers so many subjects (he has over 3000 downloads and cd’s on his site!).
On this site you can find a great variety of recordings. I assume the reason is that different people are attracted to different types of recordings. There are Gold recordings of 30 minutes long, Platinum recordings which are 1 hour long. They have daytime affirmations where you get all the suggestions used in the other self-hypnosis recordings but without the relaxing suggestions, where all the words are clearly audible. This is good to use while driving or when you can’t afford to be sleepy but do want to make maximum use of your time. I like using these while I exercise or fold the laundry
.
Another one of my favourites are the subliminal recordings. On these recordings you have music covering the words so your conscious mind cannot interfere with the process and the words go directly to your subconscious mind where they are most effective. I like to use these before going to sleep. They are very nice to fall asleep with

What is Hypnosis?
Posted by: | CommentsBy Mike Bowers
What is hypnosis? Everyone has an impression of hypnosis. In many instances this impression is based on movies, television shows, comedy acts and what someone else has told them about hypnosis. To be honest and blunt, most of what the public knows about hypnosis is inaccurate at best and many times completely false.
Here is the truth about hypnosis.
Hypnosis is a natural occurring state of mind. Hypnosis is simply a state of focused attention. Anytime you put your complete attention on something you’ve entered a light state of hypnosis. Think back to a time when you became so absorbed in a movie or a video game that you completely forgot what was going on around you. That’s a focused state of attention and that is hypnosis. That’s it. There’s nothing mystical about hypnosis, nothing magical, it’s just you getting yourself into a focused state of attention. Unfortunately there are many misconceptions about something so simple and natural.
For instance, many people assume that the hypnotist does something to put the individual into hypnosis. False! The hypnotist has no power over the individual. All hypnosis is self-hypnosis. The hypnotist knows the instructions that, if you follow them, allow you to hypnotize yourself. This is the only way that hypnosis works.
Sometimes you’ll hear someone described as “highly suggestive” and very easy to hypnotize. What does that mean? Simply that the person follows directions easily. That’s it. There is not truth to the rumor that some people cannot be hypnotized. Remember what was said in the prior paragraph, “all hypnosis is self-hypnosis.” If someone does not become hypnotized it is because they chose not to follow the instructions. That is the only reason a person does not become hypnotized. There is no other reason.
Because a person chooses whether to follow instructions or not brings up another fallacy of hypnosis; the mistaken idea that the hypnotist is in control of the hypnotized individual. Movies, TV shows and comedy acts love to create the impression that the person who is hypnotized is under the control of the hypnotist. The opposite is true. The person hypnotized is the only person in control. They can accept or reject any suggestion given to them. They can even terminate the state if they choose to. If you’ve ever been to a hypnotic comedy act you may have witnessed this.
Here’s how it happens.
Late in the show the skits have an unfortunate habit of becoming more sexually suggestive. As the comedic hypnotist is giving a suggestion you’ll see one or more of the people on stage flinch, jerk or move in some way. The comedian will go over to the person, whispers in their ear, the person gets up and is then escorted off of the stage. What just happened is that the individual rejected the suggestion with such authority that their mind pulled them completely out of hypnosis (that was the movement). The comedian knowing that this person has emerged from hypnosis escorts them off stage to preserve the act. What the patrons have just unknowingly witnessed is the ultimate in personal control while under hypnosis.
One final common misconception about hypnosis is that you “black out” during the experience. Wrong! While you are hypnotized you are aware of everything that is going on around you. At the end of the session you remember everything that was said.
That’s a quick overview that answers the question, “What is hypnosis?”
To recap:
Hypnosis is a naturally occurring state of mind.
All hypnosis is self-hypnosis.
Anyone can be hypnotized if they choose to follow the instructions.
The person hypnotized is always in control.
When you are hypnotized you are aware of what is going on and remember everything at the end of the session.

Uncover Your Limiting Beliefs and Mental Blocks – Part 2
Posted by: | CommentsHi moms,
In Uncovering your limiting beliefs and mental and emotional blocks – part 1 I discussed the importance of this step and outlined one method to begin finding out what are some of the beliefs you have which are holding you back.
I will now teach you another method. This one is called the “Mirror Tells All” method.
It simply states that your life, as it is right now is an exact mirror of your inner beliefs about every aspect of your life.
And so, to find out what these beliefs are all you need to do is, for each of the life areas outlined in the Goal Setting section, write down the AS IS.
In other words describe on detail how your life is in that area right now: How you feel about it, how successful are you in that area, how close are you to where you would like to be?
By putting this down on paper you will in fact be creating the list of beliefs of how you subconsciously believe your life can be, What you deserve and how well you can or can’t do in each life area.
I know that this is often not an easy step. You may look at a certain aspect of your life and say there are certain objective circumstances which are influencing your current situation.
Let me assure you, that as good or bad as things are, there are absolutely NO circumstances that can occur in your life if you don’t have some sort of belief that holds them true.
Nothing can exist in your life if your vibration doesn’t resonate with it. What does that mean exactly? That if you are, for example, in a situation where you feel a victim to some wrong doing by someone else, and you may feel you have no control over the situation. However there must be at some level, a thought or belief which supports a state of ‘victim mentality’. If that were not the case, that situation could not be present in your life.
So take the time to write out the AS-IS of your life, and then look at it. What you have written down is going to be your starting point in the process of personal growth in your life.
When you feel you have completed this step and are ready to move forward:
Take the plunge into Clearing your limiting beliefs.
Uncover Your Limiting Beliefs and Mental Blocks -Part 1
Posted by: | CommentsHi Moms,
Uncovering your limiting beliefs and mental and emotional blocks will involve some conscious effort on your part. The way you choose to do this is entirely up to you. I have outlined here a technique which I have used and found very effective.
First of all state the intention to become aware of these ‘road blocks’. By telling your subconscious mind that you are willing to start examining what’s going on inside your mind, you are giving it a signal to start bringing these things to your attention.
The first method is to create a list.
Take a clear piece of paper (or empty word document). For each of the items on the list below begin to write as many things as come up:
- I am:
- I should:
- People are:
- Men are:
- Women are:
- Kids are/should:
- Parents are/should:
- I always:
- I never:
- Others see me as:
- My parents think I am:
- I am bad at:
- I can’t:
- I will never:
- Life is:
- The world is:
- I am afraid of/to:
- Abundance is:
- Money is:
- Time is:
- Scarcity is:
- Opportunities are:
- If …then…: (for example: IF I work hard then I’ll be successful).
Do not think too much about what you are writing, and definitely do not judge yourself in the process. Write down as many as you can. You may not think you have so many for each subject, but give it some time (even over a few days) and you will be amazed at how many of these “truths” you carry around with you.
Notice during the days ahead every time you start a sentence with one of those statements and write it down. If you find yourself making statements which do not appear on the list feel free to add those to your list.
By the end of the week you should have a notebook full of sentences.
If you would like to try another method you can check out uncover your limiting beliefs and mental blocks part 2.
If you feel you have completed this step, you are now ready to move on to the next step:
